What is the difference?

What we have come to find over the years is that the rocker line and fin configuration will make the biggest difference between how boards ride.

A continuous rocker will make a board faster through the water but will not give quite as much vetical pop off the wake.

A 3 stage rocker will be slightly slower through the water, but will give a more explosive lift off the wake and generally a slightly softer landing.

This will always vary depending on the amount of rocker the board has.

With the fin setup on a board, this will change the way the board rides on edge and also how easy it is to release from the water.

We carry a large range of demo boards, the best way to find what it is you like from a board is to take it out and ride it. Our demo rate is $60 per day with boots, or $100 for the weekend. This can be taken off your purchase price when you decide on a board.

There are also a bunch of boards coming out with much more durable base materials, meaning they hold up better when hitting sliders and kickers. Often this will be a ptex base material(like what is on a snowboard) and is very hard wearing and considerably tougher.
