“Cool Story” features some of snowboarding’s best North American talent who have been traveling and filming for their video parts all year long. “Cool Story” not only features all the season’s most progressive snowboarding tricks but amplifies these tricks significance through the stories of the snowboarders themselves. The mundane day to day and the amazing adventure are given equal levity in an attempt at stripping the professional snowboard world of pretense and showing it as we see it; as another fun year spent with friends adventuring around and trying our best on our snowboards. We strive to create the feeling that our world is at once accessible and utterly amazing. “Cool Story” is an exciting opportunity for Think Thank to further our creative exploits while exploring story making through snowboard video.

With past season’s gems including Paradox and Aesthetica, Standard looks forward to shaking up the scene with their new film Black Winter set to release fall ’09.
With a list of shreds including riders like Eric Jackson, Torstein Horgmo, Lonnie Kauk, Chas Guldemond, Andreas Wiig and Mark Landvik, Black Winter will showcase the sports progression with a unique artistic edge.

Neverland is a state of mind, a mountain pushed up from the ground by imagination. Anyone can go but most people have trouble with the simple directions: Follow your dreams. This winter Absinthe dropped down the rabbit hole to explore this elusive place and brought back some mind bending tales and a pocketful of surprises. Travis Rice, Dan Brisse, Bode Merrill, Nicolas Müller, Sylvain Bourbousson, JP Solberg, Romain deMarchi, DCP, Marc Frank Montoya, Annie Boulanger, Marie-France Roy, Jules Reymond, Wille Yli-Luoma, Cale Zima, Phil Damianakes, Wolfgang Nyvelt, Kevin Pearce, Eero Ettala, Gigi Rüf and the rest of the Lost Boys continued down the road less traveled and explored some new possibilities during a winter that saw the progression of snowboarding take some giant strides.
For the Burton Team, the 2009 season started just like any other- resort and heli laps from New Zealand to North America and Europe, pipe, park, backcountry, and Stash runs, with riders leaving their mark at every stop. The snow-covered streets of Salt Lake, Minneapolis and sleepy European villages were explored. Corks were doubled and rails were combo’d as waves of winter storms cleaned and set a new slate for mission after successful mission. It was another dream season, but something was different this time. Something bigger, and more iconic, something so over the top that the movie had to bear its name.
